Mi Casa Su Casa Webpage
"Mi Casa Su Casa" was the first webpage I created on a Notepad. My webpage contains the fundamentals of HTML such as learning how to use the proper syntax and outline a basic webpage.
1st Website
My first website I created was called "Ground Zero." Using my basic HTML fundamentals, I was able to create multiple web pages that are linked together. The usage of pictures and different colors were also added in the website. Ground Zero was created in Notepad.
Arcadium
Tutorials have always been the key of basic fundamentals in HTML for me. In this tutorial, Arcadium is a new amusement park located in northern Georgia. The park contains a wealth of rides, including roller coasters, water rides, go-kart racetracks, and gentler rides more appropriate for young children. The web pages I created had to be colorful and include a variety of images, along with animation. A great tutorial that taught me to be more artistic with my websites.
Saving Sarah Parks!
Sarah Parks came to me with a website that is her resume. The blank background with one border line wasn't all that attractive; I give it to Sarah for doing a great job setting up the links and information. She asked me to pretty up her website but I did one thing better for her, I created a CSS style sheet for her website rather than coding over her work. She can change her website from just one html document. Hope this will get you a job Sarah and good luck!
Wizard Works!
Wizard Works is one of the largest sellers of brand-name and customized fire-works in the U.S. One of their biggest sources of sales comes from their website. The website has been around for many years, some of the code dates back to earlier versions of HTML. My goal is to rewrite the website code in XHTML rather than HTML.
Mr. Dube's Chemistry Class
My HTML class has assigned us a tutorial for creating more websites. For this particular website, we're creating a website for Mr. Dube. Mr. Dube is a chemistry teacher at Robert Service High School. As an employer, he wants his website to expand and have sections such as Class, Grading, Appointments, and Safety. The website must also contain his class logo, the welcoming message, and the beginning of the class list. Some changes I added were, instead of plain bullets, I added chemistry flasks to serve as the bullets and implemented a glossary of commonly found chemistry words.
ChildLink Inc.
My HTML class has assigned me a case problem where I'm an employee of ChildLink Inc, a small, nonprofit agency in Las Cruces, New Mexico. The assignment was to post the eligibility requirement and application process on the web.
Monroe Public Library
Another good case problem to solve in my HTML class! I've been hired by the Monroe Public Library of Monroe, Iowa. My task was simply to create a webpage containing links to various government websites. The little key trick to this case problem was to use the links to open in a secondary browser window, so that the webpage remains available to users in the original window.
